Shipping: There is no extra charge for shipping within the United States (including Alaska and Hawaii). Shipping within the United States is via First Class (for smaller prints), or Priority Mail. Small prints are shipped flat and larger prints are shipped rolled in a large diameter heavy cardboard tube. Multiple prints will usually be shipped together. I will ship outside the United States, but please check with me to see shipping costs before ordering.
Print Sizes: The listed print sizes are the size of the printed image. The actual paper size is larger, as the prints are printed with an additional 3 to 4 inch unprinted margin on each side.
Filling Orders: At this time, I am printing and storing a small stock of each edition. If demand is high when you order a print, I may need to pull a few more prints in the edition to fill your your order, so please understand that there may be a several day lead time to ship your order.
Why Polymer Plate Intaglio?
Image Quality: Because of the printing process and the inks used the printed image has a depth and richness like no other printing process, except perhaps traditional copper plate photogravure. The process of pressing the ink into the surface of the paper with a three dimensional plate creates an image that is almost tactile in quality, as opposed to ink sitting on the surface of the paper. Of course, these very qualities are impossible to accurately display on a computer monitor.
Print Longevity: My prints are all printed on high quality acid free mould-made cotton fiber art paper, and printed with carbon-based intaglio ink. With proper handling, these prints will last hundreds of years. The ink pigments are light-fast, and the quality of the materials allow the prints to be easily cleaned using paper conservation techniques if it should ever be required in their very long life.
Small Limited Editions: I retain control of the only means of printing my images, and print each and every copy of my editions with the same care and attention to detail.
